STAUNCH WAVE MONSTER LONGBOARD

SURFBOARD DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION Staunch Industries collaborated with Local Edinburgh surfboard shaper Martin McQueenie AKA Pro-liberty surf, Scotlands original shaper to create a one-off longboard. The images and designs that you are looking at are the ‘Wave-Monster’ a mythical creature that lives beneath the waves and is always at the back of your mind when paddling around or diving in the water. The designs channel the myths and legends of sea mariners and toy's with their superstitions about the oceans and what lurks in their depths. Wave Monster, is available for the discerning surfer and design collector by commission. Hand crafted in Scotland, its a mighty 9'4 long, Single fin, with a big sharp fish tail. The Wave Monster’s intricate design – reproduced with large scales - depicts the aquamarine fish on the top of the board while the skeleton of the fish gazes into the ocean beneath. It’s eat or be eaten.
